How to Transform Your Life
Aug 08, 2024
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” - Carl Jung
To illustrate the transformational power of this quote, I’m honored to share this remarkable story of one of my clients, Derek:
—
😣 Uncomfortable Situation
Derek is a middle-aged man with a wife and children, he had a successful corporate career but longed for greater influence over his lifestyle and destiny. Driven by a passion for financial trading, he decided to become self-employed.
Financial trading is one of the most psychologically challenging careers. It doesn’t guarantee direct payment for your time and effort; you can work countless hours and not only fail to make money but also lose it. Imagine the stress of this while trying to pay bills and care for your family.
This brought a lot of anxiety, self-doubt, and pressure from himself and his wife. He was committed to following his calling but had to learn to navigate his emotional state to perform in his role and fulfill his responsibilities as the family leader.

🔍 Uncovering Unconscious Patterns
Throughout our sessions, we explored his experiences, beliefs, and reality, uncovering an unconscious pattern: he constantly felt the need to learn more. He never felt he knew enough, a belief that showed up in his previous career, his new career, and even his personal life. When he initially started working with me, he expressed the feeling of a “glass ceiling” holding him back in his personal and professional life.
We started to unpack what that “glass ceiling” meant for him through my probing and awaking his unconscious beliefs. Whenever he felt he made a mistake, it triggered uncomfortable feelings of incompetence and unworthiness. Desperate to escape these emotions, he would withdraw from people and dive into endless learning, thinking that knowing more would make him good enough.
This pattern haunted him, robbing him of self-worth and inner peace.

💡 The Moment of Awareness
When I gently brought this pattern to his awareness, he paused, looked down, and said he knew when it started. He described a painful childhood experience when a friend ridiculed him publicly for not knowing something, leaving him humiliated. At that tender age, a limiting belief formed: he was stupid because he didn’t know an answer.
In that moment of awareness, everything in his life clicked into place. Driven by the fear of inadequacy, he reacted unconsciously to situations that triggered this fear, believing them and shutting down.
I thanked him for his courage in sharing this. It was a magical moment and a turning point in his life. This discovery finally shattered the “glass ceiling” that created the feeling of incompetence and unworthiness for him.

🕊️ Finding Peace
We worked to understand and rewire this old pattern. In the following days, he felt a significant weight lift off his shoulders. No longer burdened by anxiety, he realized he didn’t need to prove his worthiness of love. For the first time, he felt safe to be himself.
He embraced each new day with awe, wonder, and inner peace. His trading significantly improved, achieving 3 months of consistent capital growth, marking a turning point in his trading journey. His personal relationships also flourished, reaching new levels of connection, joy, and love.
Derek is a shining example of how making the unconscious conscious can change your fate!
True transformation starts from within; otherwise, we fall into the unconscious trap of endlessly trying to change our external circumstances in order to feel differently.
