For 2 decades, I worked tirelessly in global corporations, chasing success and recognition.
Yet, despite my achievements, I was never truly satisfied. I measured my self-worth by external standards, quietly compared myself to others and anxiously climbed the corporate ladder in search of validation. I found myself trapped in a cycle of fear and frustration.
I was stuck in survival mode as ultra independent, a perfectionist and trying to please others. I neglected my own needs and desires to prioritize the expectations of others above my own well-being. This cycle took a toll on my health, resulting in being hospitalized.
Despite my outward success I couldn't shake the feeling of being trapped.
Although I was the manager of the global customer experience program at the world's second-largest health insurance company, and lived in the picturesque city of Copenhagen, I still felt something was missing.
Yearning for deeper meaning I embarked on a journey of personal development. Soon I found myself drowning in information but still unable to make a Courageous Decision I needed for real change. I was attached to the certainty of a paycheck and feeling overwhelmed by the thought of stepping into the unknown.
Amidst my confusion, one day I found my mentor.
He showed me that true transformation begins from within. Under his guidance, I began to untangle the layers of conditioning that had kept me chained for so long.
I gradually recognized that on a surface level, health issues, stress at work, relationship challenges, self-criticism and suppression of my dreams appeared to be separate from each other. But at a deeper level they all had the same root cause: understanding that my internal state was creating my external reality.
Everything suddenly clicked into place, offering newfound clarity, peace and freedom.
I courageously stepped away from the security of my lucrative corporate career in Denmark. Purchasing a one-way ticket to Mexico, to embark on a new adventure to live my truth. I embraced the discomfort of uncertainty, knowing that I had awakened the courageous spirit within me.
I discovered the most liberating truth!
I didn't need money to be free, I just needed to learn how to become authentic. Yet, the more authentic I became, the more successful I was in all aspects of my life. Real freedom came from learning to take one Courageous Decision at a time to face my fears and live my truth.
This highly rewarding process allowed me to heal my body, enjoy deeper real connections and find true fulfillment in pursuing my calling.
There is nothing more exhilarating than being loved, appreciated and valued for who I truly am. Instead of someone I’ve been conditioned to perform as.
