Courageous Decision Matrix
Jun 13, 2024
A key principle for living the life you want is: 'Clarity Equals Power!'
What is a Courageous Decision?
“Going towards what you want without letting the fear of what you don’t want stop you”.
This definition assumes two things:
1. You know what you want.
2. You know what you fear.

➤ Introducing the ‘Courageous Decision Matrix’:
1. I Don’t Know What I Want + I Don’t Know What I Fear:
This is the most confusing place to be. I want to be anywhere but where I am, without knowing where I want to go or realizing the fear that is currently blocking me.
2. I Don’t Know What I Want + I Know What I Fear:
This is a slightly better place to be. I’m aware that I don’t know where I want to go, but I recognize there is fear which is currently blocking me from finding out.
3. I Know What I Want + I Don’t Know What I Fear:
This can be frustrating. I know where I want to go, but I can’t seem to get there and I'm unsure what fear is blocking me.
4. I Know What I Want + I Know What I Fear:
This is a more exciting place to be. I know what I want and what I fear, but I can still feel stuck because I don't know the next step to overcome it.

➤ Key Takeaways:
• It takes courage to acknowledge which stage you are currently at.
• If you don’t know what you want, gaining clarity is a great first goal.
• Most people who know what they want often don’t understand the real reason why.
• What stops people is usually an internal fear, not an external block.
• There is usually a deeper hidden core fear that most people are not aware of.
• People tend to rely too much on logic instead of intuition to find their answers.
• Don’t let uncertainty paralyze you; it’s part of the journey to self-actualization.
• Learn to be comfortable with living in the space of a question.
